THE POWER OF WOMEN

  • Women drive our economy, making 85% of consumer spending decisions and 90% of healthcare decisions driving economies with their purchasing power.

  • 42% of all U.S. businesses are owned by women (13 million). Women-owned businesses employ over 9.4 million workers.

  • Female founders have a 35% higher return rate for their investors than their male counterparts yet receive less than 2% of venture funding.

  • Moms make it happen. 1 in 3 women-owned businesses is owned by a mom. Women tend to see a gap in the marketplace and figure out a way to meet that need according to American Express’s research. Motherhood is a driving factor in why women leave the workforce and also why women launch businesses, solving problems they discovered through motherhood.
